Tarragona is a nice touristic city one hundred km south to Barcelona and Universitat Rovira i Virgili has modern facilities to support large conferences.

Tarragona offers culture, sports and gastronomical points of interest for tourists.

In this line the Roman ruins of Tarraco have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, Tarragona attracts every year a lot of tourists to its fantastic beaches.  It also offers unique cultural traditions like the human castells.

The city is well connected and easily accessible from international locations.

• Barcelona Airport: Well-connected airport with flight to numerous countries. There is a direct bus almost every hour to the city of Tarragona. It is also possible  to travel by train to Tarragona.
• Reus Airport: A small airport at 10 km from Tarragona. It offers low-cost flights to several countries like Germany, Belgium, Italy, UK, Ireland and Poland.
• AVE: Tarragona is a station of the High Velocity Train that connects Madrid with Barcelona.
